Will, this is some of the best thinking I've read in recent times (and so concisely expressed). I strongly identify with the description of an otrovert (although I'm not sure I need the label). I also think there is a strong correlation with the destruction of "gatekeepers" that both technology and morality currently deem optimal. We've become bland collectives of groupthink where no one leads and therefore no worthwhile mission is ever established.
